Moisture-Curable Compositions, and a Process for Making the Compositions / Compositions useful as coatings for automobile power cables comprise a combination of raoisiure-crosslinkabk, si lane-grafted ethylene polymers in combination with a non-halogenated flame retardant. The ethylene polymers are a combination of at least one ethylene polymer with a density of 0.910 g/cc or greater and at least one ethylene polymer with a density less than 0.910 g/cc. The non-halogenated flame retardant is typically liydrated metallic filler, e.g., aluminum trihydrate. These compositions meet SAE J-1128 and DaimlerChrysler MS-8288 specifications, exhibit good shelf-life stability, and are useful in other automotive cable applications, such as ISO-6722. |

HEAT RESISTANT POLYETHYLENE MULTILAYER FILMS FOR HIGH SPEED FLEXIBLE PACKAGING LINES / Dow Global Technologies LLC Multilayer films comprising an outer layer, a sealant layer, and a tie layer positioned between the outer layer and the sealant layer are provided. The outer layer includes one or more of a first polyethylene having a density of greater than 0.945 g/cc and a polyethylene having a density of from 0.910 to 0.940 g/cc. The sealant layer includes one or more of at least one ethylene acid copolymer having from 0.1 to 10 wt % neutralized with a cation source, a polyethylene plastomer having a density below 0.910 g/cc, and an ethylene based polymer having a melting point Tm (DSC) of less than or equal to 108° C. The tie layer includes an adhesive resin selected from the group consisting of anhydride grafted ethylene based polymer, ethylene acid copolymer, and ethylene vinyl acetate. |

The packaging structure comprises a frame and a film connected to the frame. The film comprises first and second layers. The first layer is an outer layer of the film and comprises polyethylene polymer having a density of at least about 0.910 g/cc. The first layer comprises no more than about 20% of the total thickness of the film. The second layer comprises ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer having a density of less than about 0.910 g/cc. The film has an elastic recovery in each of the transverse and longitudinal directions of at least about 60% measured according to ASTM D5459-95 at 100% strain, 30 seconds relaxation time, and 60 second recovery time. |
