책소개  

일상적인 업무와 중간관리자는 혁신의 장벽인 동시에 혁신 성공의 요인이다. 혁신에 성공한 집요한 혁신가들은 한결같이 일관된 혁신노력을 일상적인 업무프로세스에 기울이고 있으며, 중간관리자들에게 의존한다. 혁신에 성공하려면 중간관리자들이 혁신을 환영하고, 수용하고, 촉진시키는 프로세스, 기업문화 및 태도를 창출하고 지속하지 않으면 안된다. 저자는 우리가 놓치고 있었던 “일상적인 업무(BAU: Business As Usual)”로서의 혁신 접근법을 제시하고, 그 주체를 중간관리자(공무원)에 의해서 지속되어야 하는 운영모델로 혁신활동을 추진할 것을 권고한다.
