1 APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING DATA, AND APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR EXPANDING AND CONTRACTING PROGRAM LENGTH / SONY CORP
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably display character information subordinate to a program, even when a program length is expanded or contracted.SOLUTION: A program-playing unit 100 in a program length regulating system has a data separator 203 for separating at least image data DPV a CC data separator 103 for separating CC data DPCC an image memory 104 for temporarily storing image data DPV a CC data memory 108 for temporarily storing CC data DPCC and a CPU 109 for making general control of the respective sections. The CPU 109 captures the CC data DPCC stored in the memory 108, inserts or deletes meaningless data into or from the CC data DPCC, in response to the insertion or deletion of images constituting image data stored in the memory 104, and outputs the data as new CC data DRCC.COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
2 AUXILIARY MEMORY CONTROL DEVICE / FUJITSU LTD
(PURPOSE) To eliminate the increase of the re-access time by obtaining the data address and the number of remaining records of an error state via an address control table and recording them in a state register for restart of an access in case an error is detected with the access data. (CONSTITUTION) If an error is detected with the access data, this error is displayed on a state register 109 and an interruption signal is sent to a CPU CC2. The CC2 detects the interruption signal and recognizes the error owing to a face that the register 109 and a state register 105 have no error display nor end display respectively. Then the CC2 sends a read record address instruction. A memory 3 reads said address instruction to interpret it and obtains the present address and the number of remaining sectors by means of an address control program 113 and an address control table 111 to transfer them to the register 109 and then to a peripheral bus 7. Then the memory 3 sends the information to the CC2. The CC2 records these received address and the number of sectors into an address register 101 of an auxiliary memory control device 1' and sets a read data instruction at an instruction register 100.
3 DISPLAY DEVICE / InnoLux Corporation

The driving circuit (CC1) is disposed on the substrate (10) and is configured for driving display units (DU). The sensing units (SU) are disposed on the driving circuit (CC1) and include a first semiconductor layer (40). The sensing circuit (CC2) is configured for driving the sensing units (SU) and includes a second semiconductor layer (32 or 16). A thickness of the first semiconductor layer (40) is greater than a thickness of the second semiconductor layer (32 or 16).
4 TRANSMITTER AND RECEIVER / MATSUSHITA ELECTRIC IND CO LTD
(PURPOSE) To accurately restore images and sounds on the reception side by transmitting the counted values of generated carrier clocks when a signal source outputs the leading data of respective packets and time information for each prescribed number along with the respective packets. (CONSTITUTION) Along with a TP 109 for which compressed image-sound data are turned to a transport packet(TP), the signal source 101 outputs signals 110 for indicating the timing of the leading data of the TP. A carrier counter 103 counts the output CC 111 of a carrier clock(CC) oscillation circuit 102 and a register 104 holds the counted value 112 at the time of the output of the signals 110. Further, the register 107 holds the output time information 115 of a CTR 106 for the respective cycles of frequency divided CC 114 for which the CC 111 is frequency divided by a frequency divider circuit 105 and outputs the time information 116. Then, a transmission circuit 108 turns the output values 113 of the register 104 for the respective TPs and the information 116 to the packets 117 along with the TPs 109 and outputs them. Thus, the images and sounds are accurately restored on the reception side.
5 ELECTRONIC DEVICE, AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE CONTROL METHOD, AS WELL AS IMAGING DEVICE / CANON INC
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress repetition of a state deviant from a normal action state regarding a power supply between apparatuses.SOLUTION: An electronic device comprises: a power source unit 103 that performs a power supply to an external device via a VBUS terminal; a resistance value control unit 106 that switches a resistance value between a CC terminal and an internal power source to any of a first resistance value and a second resistance value; a monitor unit 109 that detects a physical disconnection with a power reception device 20 on the basis of a voltage of the CC terminal; a PD communication control unit 102 that communicates with the power reception device 20 via the CC terminal, and determines whether the power reception device 20 is in a prescribed state or not. When the resistance value between the CC terminal and the internal power source is the first resistance value, the PD communication control unit 109 is configured to, in response to the determination that the power reception device 20 is in the prescribed state, transmit a hard reset command to the power reception device 20, and the power source unit 103 is configured to suspend the power supply to the power reception device 20. A resistance value control unit 108 is configured to switch the resistance value to the second resistance value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
6 PRIVATE BRANCH EXCHANGE / CANON INC
(PURPOSE) To efficiently connect an extension by allowing incoming to all of extensions to which incoming is possible and communicating with the extension terminal which first responds to the incoming and releasing the incoming to the other extensions. (CONSTITUTION) A controller CC 110 ignores the call to an extension 301, to which incoming is impossible, and switches the call states of extensions 302 and 303, to which incoming is possible, of a call state management table in a main storage device MM 111 from the idle state to the busy state and controls independent telephone set extension interface devices SLTI 108 and 109 to terminate the call by SLT 104 and 105 of extensions 302 and 303. The SLTI 109 reports the response of the extension 303 to the CC 110 when detecting it, and the CC 110 controls the SLTI 108 to stop the incoming to the extension 302 and switches the call state of the extension 302 of a call state storage table in the MM 111 from the busy state to the idle state and controls a speech path switch TSW 512 to connect voice channels of extensions 201 and 303.
7 APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DECODING CLOSED CAPTION SIGNAL / MATSUSHITA ELECTRIC IND CO LTD
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly stably search and decode a closed caption signal even when a phase of the closed caption signal is deviated.SOLUTION: An AFC circuit 102 stabilizes a frequency of a horizontal synchronizing signal separated by a synchronous slice circuit 101, a phase/speed comparator 103 compares the resulting horizontal synchronizing signal with a TV reference signal and synchronizes the horizontal synchronizing signal. A horizontal line counter 105 counts the number of the horizontal synchronizing signals, and when the count reaches the number of lines set in a horizontal line setting register 108, a phase delay circuit 107 generates and outputs a sampling clock in a prescribed timing. Then a CC (Closed Caption) decoder 109 acquires a CC signal on the basis of the sampling clock and applies decode processing to the CC signal. In this case, a CC phase search processing 110 working on a processor 115 adjusts a phase delay of the sampling clock and detects a start bit of the CC signal.COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
8 TRANSMISSION SYSTEM FOR INPUT-OUTPUT SIGNAL / HITACHI LTD
(PURPOSE) To eliminate an EMA (fault processing) request due to a software bug by collating the series number of an input-output device with small-scale hardware by providing a central controller with a detecting circuit for the series number of the input-output device. (CONSTITUTION) This describes access to input-output device IO101 attained by central controller CC100. In this case, CC100 sends out a signal, requesting IO101 to send its series number, to BUS 106 from IOD109 via signal line SIGA107. Simultaneously, the series-number data on IO101 are also sent out to BUS106. When the series number agrees with the received series-number data, IO101 sends out a response signal to CC100 via signal line SIGB108. On receiving the response signal, CC100 sends out a signal for a request to send data to SIG107 and, at the same time, sends a read instruction data to BUS106.
