A fan blade (200) comprises interleaved plies (310, 312, 316, 410, 412), wherein interleaving comprises distributing wide plies within narrow plies and short plies within long plies in the fan blade (200); wherein the interleaving is defined as an actual intersection of a plurality of plies (310, 312, 316) of different variable dimensions that extend in the chordwise direction with another plurality of plies (410, 412) of different variable dimensions that extend in the spanwise direction such that their respective longitudinal axes (AA', BB', CC') intersect with one another at angles (θ) of 5 to 175 degrees.

The waterproof sound-transmissive cover is characterized by providing a frequency response curve with a difference between a maximum sound pressure level and a minimum sound pressure level of 13.0 dB or less in the range of frequencies from 3 kHz to 8 kHz, and an insertion loss at 1 kHz of less than 14.0 dB, and said cover comprising: a porous film having (1) a water pressure resistance measured according to JIS L1092 water penetration test method B (high pressure method) of 20 kPa or more, and air permeability measured according to JIS L1096 method A (Frazier type method) of 3.0 cc/cm2·sec or more, and (2) a tensile strength measured according to ASTM standards D412 of 5.5N or more.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof sound passing cover that is used in an acoustic device, which has excellent waterproofness and acoustic characteristics higher than before: specifically sound pressure at a certain level or more, and can sufficiently suppress differences of sound pressure level due to frequencies across a broad frequency region in particular.SOLUTION: The waterproof sound passing cover has a frequency characteristic curve that a difference between the maximum sound pressure level and the minimum sound pressure level in a range of frequencies between 3 kHz and 8 kHz satisfies 13.0 dB or less, and a porous film whose insertion loss at 1 kHz is less than 14.0 dB and further satisfies the following (1) and (2), where (1) water pressure resistance that is measured based on a water resistant test B method (a high water pressure method) of JIS L1092 is 20 kPa or more and ventilation amounts that are measured based on an A method of JIS L1096 (a Frazier type method) are 3.0 cc/cm2.sec or more and (2) tensile strength that is measured based on ASTM D412 is 5.5 N or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
