A method of estimating the motion of an image element contained in the current image (Pc) of a video sequence preceded by a past reference image (Pp) and followed by a future reference image (Pf)- Following the calculation (A) of at least one past motion estimation vector (I) of a block of pixels (Bc) of the current image, referenced in the past reference image (Pp), a step (B) is executed for predicting the motion of the block of pixels (Bc) towards the future reference image (Pf) by linear combination of the past motion estimation vector (II) and of at least one past motion estimation vector (III) of a block of pixels (Bcf) of the future reference image (Pf) deduced from the block of pixels (Bc) by the linear combination, so as to generate a predicted motion estimation vector (IV).
2 INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SERVER / VODAFONE KK
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize reference to the profile information regarding a mobile terminal which requires a client server without increase in the amount of processing of a client server.SOLUTION: The differential profile information consisting of terminal information of an enterprise is registered to CC/PP Repository 33b from a management console 24 for each mobile terminal. The original profile information in regard to each mobile terminal is acquired from a database (Profile Repository 23) constituted by a manufacturer of each mobile terminal and it is then stored to the CC/PP Repository 33b. In this CC/PP Repository 33b, when the client server 25 requests the profile information of the mobile terminal, the profile information is returned after merging the differential profile information regarding the relevant mobile terminal and the original profile information.
3 Measuring device / DR. JOHANNES HEIDENHAIN GMBH
In a measurement device for measuring the relative position of two objects, a scale (M1) is scanned by a scanner unit with a scanning plate (AP1) and a photocell plate (PP1). The scale (M1) has graduations (T) and identical reference marks (R1n) equispaced (spacing d) in the direction of measurement X and precisely coordinated with these graduations (T). On the scanning plate (AP1) there are two sets of reference scanning graduations (RAT1a, RAT1b) and on the photocell plate (PP1) two reference photocells (RP1a and RP1b) with the same mutual spacing (d). To select a reference mark (R1x) required for the measurement an ineffective reference mark (R1u) is provided adjacent to the latter. If two unselected reference marks (R1n-1, R1n) are scanned and one unselected reference mark (R1n) and the selected reference mark (R1x), two reference signals of opposite polarity are generated, additive superimposition of which produces a resultant reference signal that cannot be evaluated; only when the selected reference mark (R1x) and the ineffective reference mark (R1u) are scanned is a reference signal (RS1x) generated which gives a resultant reference signal (RRS1x) that can be evaluated.
4 DGPS POSITION LOCATING SYSTEM / MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC CORP
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a DGPS position locating system which can compute a relative position while a moving station designated as a master station is used as a reference, by a method wherein position data whose time is identical for the masterstation and a slave station is used, the relative position is computed and the position of every mobile using the master station as a reference is displayed on a digital map.SOLUTION: By a computer 5 in a master station 2a, an input device 6 is used, and the master station 2a is set. Then the master station 2a executes a processing operation. When a GPS receiver 4 outputs an own position, the sampling time Tpand the position Pp(t) of the master station 2a are updated. Then the position Pp(t) is smoothing-processed, and a reference position Ps(t) is obtained. In addition, as data on the master station 2a, the reference position Ps(t), the position Pp(t), the sampling time Tpand a capturing satellite number SNp(t) are transmitted via a communication device 7. At the same time, a digital map is read out from an external storage device, and the computed position Ps(t) is displayed on the digital map as the position of the master station 2a. The communication device receives position data on a slave station 2b. When the sampling time Tcof the position data on the slave station 2b is equal to the time Tpof the master station 2a, the relative coordinates RPcof the slave station 2b is computed.
5 PLASMA ETCHING APPARATUS / SUMITOMO METAL IND LTD
(PURPOSE) To surely control an etching rate and to reduce a manufacturing cost by subjecting supply electric energy of a high-frequency to feedback control in such a manner that the peak-to-peak voltage value measured in a plasma etching apparatus attains the value approximate to a preset reference voltage value. (CONSTITUTION) A bias voltage Vdc is generated between a sample stage 26 and an etching sample 26a when a high-frequency voltage is impressed on an electrode 27a disposed at this sample stage 26 from a power source 17c in the plasma etching apparatus 10 having a microwave oscillator 24, a plasma forming chamber 22 and the etching sample 26a. Since there is a large correlative relation between this Vdc and the etching rate of the sample 26a, the peat- to-peak voltage Vpp having a proportional relation with the bias voltage Vdc is measured at all times by a matching box 17b of a high-frequency electric power supplying means 17. In such a case, the etching rate of the sample 26a is surely held at all times by previously setting a reference V'pp corresponding to the Vdc , comparing the Vpp with V'pp and adjusting the high-frequency supply electric power so as to approximate the Vpp to the V'pp .
6 DESTATICIZING LIGHT CONTROL METHOD FOR ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC DEVICE / FUJITSU LTD
(PURPOSE) To uniform the electrostatic potentials at all positions of a photosensitive drum and to prevent an irregularity in print density, fogging, and a decrease in resolution by detecting a printing medium passing an optical destaticizer and then projecting destaticizing light only when the printing medium shields the optical path of the destaticizing light from the optical destaticizer to the photosensitive drum. (CONSTITUTION) The recording medium PP conveyed from a hopper is detected when passing a medium sensor 8 and after the medium stops temporarily, a phase switching part 21 drives a stepping motor with a driving clock generated by a clock generator 20 on the arrival of a motor start signal. The medium PP is conveyed again by a conveyor roller 9 by this motor driving and the driving clock is counted by a 1st counter 31 and compared by a 1st comparator 33 with a 1st reference value 32, thereby outputting the distance A by which the medium PP passes the optical destaticizer 6 from the roll 9 to a lamp driving part 39. Similarly, the distance B by which the rear end of the medium PP processed by a counter 36, a comparator 38, etc., passes the optical destaticizer 6 from the roll 9 is applied to the driving part 29 to prevent the resolution from decreasing.
7 LIGHT SOURCE DEVICE FOR SCANNING EXPOSURE, SCANNING EXPOSURE METHOD, AND SCANNING EXPOSURE DEVICE / FUJI PHOTO FILM CO LTD
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device for scanning exposure, which efficiently removes flare light radiated from a semiconductor laser having a substrate transmitting to an oscillation wavelength.SOLUTION: A blue (B) laser light source 13 is a semiconductor laser and has a sapphire substrate transmitting a wavelength of B laser light 8c emitted from an active layer. A condenser lens 23 condenses the B laser light 8c on a condensation point 53 where an AOM 24 is disposed. A slit plate 25 limits a luminous flux on the exit side of the condenser lens 23. The slit plate 25 is disposed in such a position that a depth position Z is equal to or deeper than Z0 (Z0>0) when a traveling direction of the B laser light 8c is a plus direction with the condensation point 53 as the reference, and the slit plate efficiently removes flare light 52 radiated from the sapphire substrate, wherein Z0 satisfies Pp(Z0)=P1 (P1 is a convergence value of Z → ∞ of Pp(Z)) when a value dividing a width of laser light in a direction parallel with an active surface of the active layer in the depth position Z by a width of flare light is given as Pp(Z).
8 DISK DEVICE AND METHOD FOR GENERATING TRACKING ERROR SIGNAL / TOSHIBA CORP
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device which executes stable tracking servo irrespective of a disk type or a pit depth.SOLUTION: The amplitude of a DPD type tracking error signal VDPDindicating a phase difference among a plurality of detecting signals provided from a photodetector 84, and the amplitude of a PP type tracking error signal VPPindicating a level difference among the plurality of detecting signals are compared with reference values Vref1, Vref2 by comparators 105a, 105b. A tracking error signal having maximum amplitude smaller than the reference values is muted by a gain control amplifier 98a or 98b.COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
9 PROTECTIVE CIRCUIT FOR THERMAL HEAD / TOSHIBA CORP
(PURPOSE) To judge a condition to be abnormal and stop the suply of printing pulses or a driving power to a thermal head when a converted voltage exceeds a reference voltage, by a method wherein the pulse width and the pulse separation of printing pulses supplied to a thermal head are converted into voltages, and the voltages are compared with reference voltages. (CONSTITUTION) For example, where the printing pulses PP include pulses P1 having a width larger than a predetermined width, the charging voltage of an integrating circuit 52 is raised above the reference voltage VTH by the pulses P1 , as shown at (b) in the figure. Therefore, an output signal from a comparator 54 is brought to a low level in the condition wherein the charging voltage of a capacitor 522 is higher than the reference voltage VTH, as shown at (c) in the figure. As a result, a resetting output terminal Q of a flip-flop circuit 56 supplied with this signal is brought to a low level as shown at (d) in the figure, whereby a gate of an AND circuit 51 supplied with a signal from the circuit 56 is closed, and outputting of the printing pulses PP to the thermal head 11 is stopped, as shown at (e) in the figure. Accordingly, the thermal head 11 is prevented from being overloaded.
