2 RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE / VICTOR CO OF JAPAN LTD
(PURPOSE) To improve the operability of a titled device by depressing stop and play switches simultaneously at a recording mode to turn said device to a reproducing mode immediately. (CONSTITUTION) In a recording mode, a detecting means 1 detects the depression of the stop switch SS and a detecting means 2 detects the depression of the play switch SP. A reproducing mode signal generating circuit 4 detects a simultaneous output of output detecting signals from the means 1, 2 from the simultaneous depression of the switches SS, SP and generates a reproducing mode turning the device to reproducing mode state successively after releasing the recording mode.
3 RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE AND SLIDESHOW PLAY LIST GENERATING METHOD / CANON INC
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically generate a play list during after-recording processing.SOLUTION: An audio recording time T_REC from turning on (S12) to turning off (S15) an after-recording switch is measured (S14). When the after-recording time T_REC is less than a predetermined display time T1 of a slideshow (S16), T_REC is substituted for the value of T1 (S17). When there is no playback list (S18), a slideshow play list for displaying an image with after-recorded sound for T_REC is newly generated (SS19), but when there is a play list (S18), the play list is updated so that the image with the after-recorded sound is displayed for T_REC.
4 Signalling in an intelligent network / LUCENT TECHNOLOGIES INC. ,US
Communication between a service switching point (SSP) and an external (or stand alone) Intelligent Peripheral (IP) has not been defined by any of the standard bodies. ITU-T Q.1600 and ETSI 300 374-1 defines the network configuration of SCP, SSP and stand-alone IP units using SS7 ISUP connection, but ITU-T Q.1600 and ETSI 300 374-1 does not specify in detail the SS7 ISUP messages for bi-directional communication between a SSP and an IP unit. This invention details the message flow between a SCP, a SSP and an ISUP IP unit, especially in the messages between the SSP and IP unit using SS7 ISUP protocol. With the signaling method of the present invention, SCP can send INAP operations, such as PA, PCUI to instruct an external IP unit to play an announcement or collect user information, then an IP unit can send back the related operations back to SCP. In this case, the resource of the IP unit can be shared by other switches and SSPs in the network.

8 RECORDING MEDIUM, PLAYBACK DEVICE, RECORDING METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM PLAYBACK SYSTEM / PANASONIC CORP
(PURPOSE)To provide a recording medium capable of playing back the stereoscopic vision video of high quality without increasing the time and labor of authoring. ! Inside an extension stream selection table (STN_table_SS) in a play list information, offset control information (Fixed_offset_during_Popup) is present. The offset control information stipulates the offset control of a plane memory in playback of graphics to be synthesized with picture data in a one-plane offset mode. ! (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
9 Methods of treating sickle cell disease / Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai
The present invention relates to methods of treating sickle cell disease comprising reducing, in a subject in need of such treatment, the adherence between sickle RBCs and leukocytes. It is based, at least in part, on the discovery that leukocytes play a direct role in the initiation of venular occlusion. The present invention further provides for methods for identifying agents which decrease SS-RBC/leukocyte adherence and for animal models which may be used to further elucidate the mechanism of vaso-occlusion in sickle cell crises.
